Viaduct Jazz was formed in 2007 after Richard Amster retired from his day gig to devote his life to sharing his love of modern jazz with people like you - current jazz lovers and people who are jazz-curious.
The Viaduct Octet
- Seattle's new jazz "little big band".
- Veteran guitarist, composer, and arranger Richard Amster and 7 of Seattle's most talented up and coming musicians.
- Playing jazz standards by Miles Davis, Horace Silver, Gerry Mulligan, and more.
- All original, mellow, swinging arrangements.
- Also playing new compositions by Northwest jazz artists.
- Jazz appreciation concerts starting in mid-2008.

- Guitar and bass jazz duo for smaller venues and events.
- Mellow, romantic, and swinging sound.
- Create a warm, romantic atmosphere for small clubs, lounges, restaurants, parties, meetings, etc.
- Playing jazz standards and jazz-oriented current pop tunes.
